I take it that the artists on the top charts get up there by totals plays(point system). Probably meaning that at this particular time whoevers songs are being played the most.
My suggestion, if it allready hasn't been suggested, Is:
Maybe puting ALL of the artists that has made it to Number 1 on the charts in the past located somewhere on the main page. Sort of like having number 1 contestants or something like that. Calling it ARTIST SPOTLIGHT or something. This way it kills two birds with one stone and the artists that have made it there before get to feel rewarded and maybe receive more exposure that way, AND gives new coming talent a chance to the top ! And something to look forward to.

| good suggestion, we are actually considering other ways to get some new talent onto the front page - including getting some celebrity djs to pick charts, but i like the idea |

| I'm not to familiar with everything yet but is there a way to detatch your personal player from the website window? like the windows media players be having those different little skins and stuff....? |

But if you can... count those plays seperate from everyone else's overall plays so the little guys like me don't get blown out by those who made it to number one. With a spotlight like that no one could ever catch up because newsomers and registered users are gonna go see what is considered "the best" before they browse the rest. |

I feel what your saying.. But we have to give it up to youbeats for providing you and all of us a place to be heard.. This website gives a concept on what winning is.. AND motivation to the people who have yet to win..

I am nothing but thankful to youbeats for this.. It was just a suggestion... I didn't have a lot of time at the time so i quoted you to cut out the explaination time... plus my keyboard game isn't to good.
Well... it was more of a "devils advocate" type statement. I mean it would be cool but I don't need a light at the moment nor am I bothered by the way it's set up now. I'll give it a shot against whatever rules or odds there are.

| the odds are pretty good. we now have guys like dj wonder searching the whole site for his favorites to put on his chart on the front page. enjoy and make some great tracks |
